Red phone box at Bunnahabhain, Isle of Islay

Picture of a red phone box near a playground in a coastal locationIslay’s most northerly red phone box can be found in Bunnahabhain (at least for now). Left of centre, behind the slide, you can make out some roofs of Bunnahabhain distillery (I’m not sure if the building behind the swings belongs to the distillery or the village). In the distance on the left Sgarbh Breac, at 364m the highest hill in the north of Islay.

  1. I love this photo, we were at Bunnahabhin last year this time, driving a borrowed 30 year old motor home with dodgy breaks. On the way to the distillery we passed a lovely cabin next to a loch just off of the road, and I remember thinking what an absolutely idyllic spot, and if I had all the money in the world that’s where I would live.

Can you post a picture of that some time please?
