Some beautiful winter afternoon light on the west coast of Islay. Some nice waves rolling into Machir Bay, breaking as they approach Kilchoman beach. Spray is blown backwards high in the air by an easterly wind.

  1. So many stunning beaches on islay but kilchoman is so often the go to. Why? Is it accessibility as much as anything? Is it emotional or nostalgic? For many it was the first islay beach, often because accessible. Or is it perfect combination of dunes, rocks, cliffs, waves & grass
