A view from a beautiful sunny autumn afternoon on Islay. Barnacle Geese feeding on a field bathed in the mild afternoon sunshine. I can’t remember where exactly I took this picture, but I think it was somewhere between Sunderland and Rockside on the Kilchoman Road.
Possibly the best bothy on Islay, the Mountain Bothy Association one at An Cladach on the shore of the Sound of Islay. This view of it is from a walk along the shore on Jura, from Jura House Gardens to the ferry, a walk I’ve done with WalkIslay as well as with my sister Imke.
An impression from the steep cliffs near Sanaigmore in the north west of Islay. A very dramatic landscape where new views open up frequently as you explore the area.
