The clouds break up after some rain on Islay to show a peat stack in some beautiful summer afternoon sunlight. We are just west of the Low Road between The Machrie and Port Ellen. Peat is obviously very important for the whisky industry on Islay, as it is used to dry the barley during the whisky making process.
