| With its wide open spaces and quickly changing weather Islay is a good place to see rainbows. This is a panorama I took back in 2004, having just come back from the beach at Saligo Bay. We had gone to the beach to look at the waves (which had turned out to be not as exciting as expected despite strong winds) when on the way back suddenly a gap in the clouds appeared, creating this wonderful rainbow. It disappeared again as quick as it had arrived, only just allowing me to take a few pictures. |
