One of the more remote sandy beaches on Islay is the short sandy stretch between Proaig and Carraig an Ràtha, on the way to McArthur's Head. Allt a' Ghlinne Dhuibh runs down the hills behind it, cutting through the beach in frequently changing paths. I took this picture during the WalkIslay Islay walking week in April 2009, on the way back from McArthur's Head.
