Picture of a beach in a cove, a waterfall cascading down the cliffs of the coveThe beach and the waterfall in Port an Eas on the south coast of Islay are probably one of the most photogenic places on the island. This view takes in both, the waterfall cascading down the steep cliff face before running over the beach and into the sea.

Meandering burn at Port an Eas, Isle of Islay

Picture of a burn (stream) meandering across a beachA beautiful April day at Port an Eas on the Oa in the south of Islay. I don’t know its name, but the burn fed by the tall waterfall (not in picture, it’s behind us in the opposite direction of the picture) is meandering across the golden sandy beach before flowing into the sea.
