met a couple of french guys in st ives,,cornwall ..sailing an old lugger type boat to islay.scotland…boat to be broken up and wood used for barrels for whiskey!!!!!!! found so unbelievable thought i,d write to my favourite whiskey distillery..to ask COULD it be true….i know there are a lot of people brewin whiskey up there….you never know ..brilliant story

This is probably a story about Bunnahabhain, not Laphroaig. I very much suspect it’s this story: Bunnahabhain to use fishing boat for barrels.
Did you get their names? May be even a picture of the boat?
