Less well known than the Barnacle Geese, but also a significant number of winter visitors to Islay, the Greenland White-Fronted Geese, seen here in a field near Saligo.
A female Hen Harrier on the hunt, flying low above some Yellow Flag Iris in a field. Not entirely sure where I took the picture apart from that it was on the Loch Gorm circuit, I think probably somewhere between Coull Farm and Saligo.
