A bit of fun in the water of Machir Bay off Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay in June 2025. That’s me having fun with some of the waves breaking on the beach, jumping and splashing through them. As there can be dangerous currents in Machir Bay I always stayed close to the beach, able to easily stand and walk back if necessary. Picture taken by my sister Imke.
Spotted at Saligo on an April late afternoon, one of the several horses in the area grazing in the dunes with the Atlantic and various cliffs in the distance.
