A view from the MV Finlaggan cruising up the Sound of Islay on a journey to Port Askaig. Islay on the left, Jura on the right and Colonsay and Mull invisible in the haze in the distance.
After a nice rest and lunch at the summit of Beinn a’ Chaolais it was time to descend and return to Islay from the first visit to the summit of one of the Paps of Jura during an Islay walking week.
I’m not sure what all the ropes were for (I’m guessing one of the fishing boats?), I just thought they provide a nice foreground to the MV Finlaggan arriving in Port Askaig at the Sound of Islay
