A view from an Islay ferry en route to Port Askaig on a beautiful April afternoon. McArthur’s Head lighthouse on the right, in the distance is the headland around Carraig Mhòr. Not visible from here, but Proaig is in the bay between the two, hidden behind the lighthouse.

A nice view of McArthur’s Head lighthouse from an Islay ferry travelling to Port Askaig, helped by the tele lens bringing it much closer. I quite like the good view of the stairs leading from the lighthouse to the pier at the shore, unfortunately I can’t remember how many steps there are (I’ve climbed it once or twice, not sure)
