While the sunset was nothing special the gloaming following it was very impressive. Just look at these amazing colours in the clouds over the Atlantic seen from Saligo Bay, aren’t they stunning?
A view over Machir Bay from Kilchoman beach in the gloaming just after sunset, looking south west. Admittedly you have to look closely, but then you’ll spot the half Moon high up in the sky. The crags and hills around Kilchiaran visible in the distance.
I’m not sure if this picture is of the sunset or the gloaming after the sunset, as the clouds on the horizon prevented me from seeing the sun setting. Just a few minutes before I could still see the sun above the clouds while walking through the dunes. Still, the colours in the sky and clouds were beautiful.
