A beautiful November morning on Islay, bright sunshine over Kilchoman beach and Machir Bay. Some Barnacle Geese who had spent the night on the beach at the waterline, soon to lift off.
Always an amazing sight, the thousands of Barnacle Geese wintering on Islay lifting off after having been spooked by something, may be a raptor, may be a human getting too close, anything.
A large number of Barnacle Geese flying low over some dunes, seen from Kilchoman beach. I think somewhere close to Coull Farm, but I’m not 100% sure.
