Of course it does rain on Islay, sometimes even during the walking week in April (although most days during it has been at least dry and very often sunny). This is from a walking week a few years ago, luckily it did dry up later in the walk. I can’t tell where exactly this was, but it was somewhere on the way between Bridgend and Gortantaoid.
