Diana bell at Bunnahabhain, Isle of Islay

Picture of a bell with the name Diana written on it hanging on a wallI don’t know the story behind it (I’m hoping somebody will tell me so that I can update this post), but this bell with the name Diana on it is hanging on a wall at Bunnahabhain distillery.

  1. Armin, a Ship’s Bell I think, and there’s a “Diana” recorded as sinking in Loch Indaal in 1804. If it came off that, I’ve no idea where it went for at 70+ yrs, because we started in 1881. It’s purpose was to call the workers for their “daily dram”. (*just my own research)
