A view west from Creag Bhàn, the highest hill on Gigha at 101 metres. Islay (left) and Jura with the distinctive Paps of Jura (right) on the horizon. Many much higher hills don’t have as impressive views as this one, taken on a beautiful sunny June day.

  1. Creag Bhàn view east panorama to Kintyre, Isle of GighaThe counterpart to the view west from Creag Bhàn panorama, the view east to Kintyre. The entrance to West Loch Tarbert (home to Kennacraig with the Islay ferry terminal) on the left. The Mull of Kintyre on the right. Bottom right shows a view indicator (although you won’t be able to read it in this picture), the trig point also on the right.
