Having enjoyed a stunning sunset and a beautiful gloaming on a November afternoon on Kilchoman beach I decided it was time to leave for a visit to Kilchoman distillery just up the road. On my way back to the car I had this last look back over the beach and Machir Bay in the gloaming over the west coast of Islay.
Watched from the Loch Indaal Way coastal path on the Rhinns of Islay, a fishing boat passing Laggan Point on its way home to Bowmore. The Oa visible in the background.
You might have to zoom in or look closer, but there is a Shag stretching/drying it wings on the dark rocks on the shore of Loch Indaal. Across the loch the Paps of Jura are towering over the scene.
