A beautiful sunny November morning on Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay. After a full moon night a large number of Barnacle Geese had been roosting on the beach, here they can be seen lifting off after having been spooked.
Not the greatest picture, but unfortunately I only had a small camera with me and the light was fading rapidly on a late November afternoon. While waiting for the ferry to leave these four Dolphins showed up right below on the starboard side (the side facing the Sound of Islay while berthed). They were constantly on the move, changing direction, jumping, turning, you never knew where they would show up next. A great show which lasted for about 10 minutes I estimate.
