A beautiful June summer evening on the west coast of Islay, waves are rolling into Lossit Bay and run up on to the beach between the rocks.

If you prefer to see the sun dramatically sink into the sea when watching a sunset then Lossit Bay in June is probably not the best place for it on Islay. Simple reason being that (in June, other times of the year will be different) the sun sets too far north and disappears behind the headland at the north of the bay. For beautiful scenery and dramatic light (especially when the weather is like it was the evening I took this picture) it is still a fantastic place though.
