One of the many caves on Islay, the cave at the foot of the cliffs below McArthur’s Head lighthouse, at the southern entrance to the Sound of Islay. I can’t remember the details, but I have a vague memory of a story of it once being used by whisky smugglers. Which might be true. Or not.

My last Islay picture of 2019

Leaving Islay on a cloudy Monday after the Islay Sessions at the end of November 2019. Little did I know that it was going to be my last Islay visit and the last Islay picture I was going to take for at least 1.5 years, possibly 2 years or even more. For now I’m raiding my archives, I hope they will tide me over until I can visit Islay again.
