Burn running over a beach, Isle of Islay

Image

Picture of a burn running over a beach with stones and pebbles into the seaA beach in the south east of Islay (near Proaig), a burn from the hills runs across the beach into the sea. I’m not certain, but I believe it is Allt a’ Ghlinne Dhuibh, between Proaig and McArthur’s Head.

Walking on the beach near Proaig, Isle of Islay

Picture of a man walking on a remote beachReturning from McArthur’s Head lighthouse the walk goes along this beach towards Proaig before continuing over the hills in the distance to Ardtalla. One of my favourite walks on Islay.

The bothy at Proaig, Isle of Islay

A view of the bothy at Proaig on a nice sunny day with a few fluffy clouds. Some of the hills in the south east of Islay in the background, I think Glas Bheinn (472m) just right of centre.
