I don’t know if it’s the same bird I already photographed two years earlier, either Snipes in general or this particular one really seem to like the old wooden post outside the RSPB bird hide at Gruinart.

Regular visitors to this blog might recognise the post seen from the old hide at RSPB Loch Gruinart, it’s the same a Snipe sat on previously (1, 2). This time a Pied Wagtail landed on it, although it didn’t stay around for long. After less than a minute it was getting ready to fly off again, here starting to stretch its wings.
