A nice bonus after watching an Islay sunset in November: In the fading light of the gloaming I spotted this Otter running over the beach in Saligo Bay. Unfortunately it disappeared behind the dunes fairly quickly and I didn’t see it again.

Otter prints on Kilchoman beach, Isle of IslayI’ve only ever seen an Otter at Kilchoman beach once (but several times in neighbouring Saligo Bay), although there are plenty signs they are around, like these prints in the sand.
