Beach ‘gate’ in Port an Eas, Isle of Islay

Picture of two large rocks forming a gate on a beachA view on the beach at Port an Eas, looking over towards the waterfall. I found the two large rocks interesting, it’s almost as if they form a gate for the burn from the waterfall to flow through on its way to the sea.

  1. About a mile and a bit south west of the Singing Sands near Port Ellen. Up the hill to the new houses above Kilnaughton Bay, then on to the track to Lurabus, continue to Tornamoine and then just past it.
