Admittedly it’s only faint and small, but it was still fascinating (and surprising) to watch: A small whirlwind/waterspout approaching the beach in Machir Bay on a breezy November early afternoon. It moved across the beach before disappearing when it reached the dunes.
A view of Octomore Farm from behind the old Port Charlotte distillery warehouses, owned and run by the Brown family. It had its own farm distillery (a long time ago), now it provides water from a spring to Bruichladdich who named the Octomore whisky after it.
