Rocks at the southern end of Machir Bay, Isle of Islay

Something I still haven’t tired of after almost 20 years of visiting Islay and in particular Kilchoman beach: Exploring the gullis, cracks, gaps and more at the southern end of Machir Bay, only accessible at low tide. With the shifting sands there’s always something new to discover, it looks different almost every time.

A scene at the southern end of Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay. An area I never get tired to explore at low tide. I wonder what kind of noise the big rock in the centre made when it broke off and fell down? Was it a big long tumble or just one low thump?
