Gap in breaking waves, Isle of Islay

Waves are breaking as they reach the beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay, except for a small gap in the centre, creating a hole.

I think it was pure chance, just the way the wave was breaking. They usually start on the outside and then close up.
