Some of the thousands of Barnacle Geese wintering on Islay, here seen on Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay. After feeding through the night under a moonlit sky they were roosting on the beach in the morning.

I have never fished it either Andy.I have fond memories of catching eels under the rocks at the border burn and fishing with bamboo canes off the rocks in Port Wemyss. Many a fish caught if you could outwit the seals.
