Picture of a bright full Moon rising above a small gap in dunes behind a beach — Bright Moon rising over the Saligo dunes, Isle of Islay

After watching a sunset on the west coast of Islay I stayed out on the beach in Saligo Bay to enjoy the beautiful light of the gloaming. Just as I was thinking about leaving I spotted the full Moon rising over the dunes. The picture doesn’t do it justice, but I hope it at least gives you an idea of the beautiful sight of the Moon coming up behind the dunes.

Same as the other picture it doesn’t do it justice, the sight of the Moon rising just behind the gap in the dunes, being cradled by the dunes, but I hope it at least gives an idea.
