It’s long gone now, but once the wave power station near Claddach was an important part of research into how to harness the incredible power of the sea. This is (or better was) the rather brutalist sea facing wall of the station, the inlet where the waves roll in at the bottom.

Spotted during a walking week walk on the Rhinns of Islay, a nice small flower coming up in the dead and fresh growth grass. And as I have no idea what this flower is feel free to leave its name in the comments if you do know.

A beautiful sunny April afternoon on Islay. Somewhere near the Campbell monument near Bridgend, a view over fields bordered by yellow Gorse bushes with the majestic Paps of Jura in the distance.
