A view from somewhere in Bowmore (unfortunately can’t remember where I took this picture) across some house roofs (somebody will probably recognise them and know where exactly they are) and over Loch Indaal to Port Charlotte on the Rhinns of Islay. A beautiful April evening on the west coast of Islay. After watching/photographing/filming the sunset it’s always worth staying a bit longer for the gloaming, the beautiful mild last light of the day. Here the view goes out from the top of the high dunes over Kilchoman beach, Coul Point and Machir Bay. If you look closely you can also make out some geese during their roost on the beach.
