Of course these cows are not grazing below the Rhinns of Islay lighthouse on Orsay, they are grazing in a field at Claddach with Eilean Mhic Coinnich and Orsay with the lighthouse in the background.

It turned out rougher than expected in places, but the walk along the path through the Claggan Strip in Bridgend Woods was still nice in the June sunshine. Some beautiful light streaming through the lush green.

In June 2024 the Department of Archaeology at Reading University with Professor Steven Mithen had returned for more field work on Islay, this time for another dig at Olistadh on the Rhinns of Islay.
