Spotted while getting into my car after a visit to Laphroaig distillery. A four engine jet plane passing over Islay very close to the Moon, probably an Airbus A380, Boeing 747-8F/400F or Airbus A340. Thought it looked amazing in the bright blue sky, so I took pictures to share.
After first spotting her from Claggain Bay I saw the new ferry MV Isle of Islay again the next day. While on the MV Finlaggan waiting to depart to Kennacraig I got this great view of her in the Sound of Islay with the coastline of Jura in the background.
