A different, distant, view of Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay. The view is from the old radar station at Kilchiaran, looking north past Kilchoman. Saligo Bay is partially hidden by the ridge stretching out from Coull, but I think you can still make out a good part of it. Behind it a well known rock formation. Oh, and the Atlantic stretching out to the horizon.

A November morning on the west coast of Islay, some varied and dramatic colourful clouds over Kilchoman beach and Machir Bay. A plane to/from (can’t remember which way it flew) America passing overhead, leaving its contrail.

Out on Kilchoman beach in the afternoon during a storm in late November 2025. Lots of sea foam washed up on the beach, sometimes blown around by a wind gust. Dark and dramatic clouds overhead, some light from the sun behind them breaking through.
