Must admit I don’t know what kind of tree this is, I just thought it is photogenic. Spotted during a walk along the main track through Bridgend Woods on a cloudy June day.

A nice view of McArthur’s Head lighthouse from an Islay ferry travelling to Port Askaig, helped by the tele lens bringing it much closer. I quite like the good view of the stairs leading from the lighthouse to the pier at the shore, unfortunately I can’t remember how many steps there are (I’ve climbed it once or twice, not sure)

A view of the lesser known neighbour of Orsay (home to the Rhinns of Islay lighthouse, just visible on the left), the uninhabited Eilean Mhic Coinnich off the Rhinns of Islay near Portnahaven. Seen from the coastal path between Portnahaven and Claddach.
