A view from a walk along the north shore of Machir Bay on a beautiful June 2025 day. I dont know what it once was, but below us the ruin of an old stone building with the roof blown off, probably during one of the westerly winter storms. The Rhinns of Islay coastline with the entrance to Kilchiaran bay and the cliffs stretching out down to Lossit Bay.

A view from a walk along the northern shore of Machir Bay to An Dòirlinn for a view to Eilean an Tannais-sgeir. Near An Dòirlinn is this wee stony beach at an inlet with a big rock lump in the middle. The view goes out over Machir Bay to the Kilchoman Crags, Kilchiaran and the coastline south towards Lossit Bay.
