A beautiful April evening on the west coast of Islay at Saligo. One of the horses living in the area is standing in the dunes, almost as if it is posing. Some sheep and their lambs in the background, if you look closely you’ll notice one is feeding. Waves rolling into Saligo Bay in the background.
I think Saligo Bay is one of the best places on Islay to watch waves rolling in from the Atlantic and breaking as they approach the shore. This view is from the northern end of the bay on a beautiful April evening.
A stunning June evening at the northern end of Islay’s neighbour Gigha, out for a walk around the Northern Loop. The view is north-west, looking over the northern end of Gigha with Port Mòr on the left, In the distance on the right the Isle of Jura with the famous Paps of Jura.
