Snow only fairly rarely reaches the lower lying parts of Islay, let alone stays for more than a few hours. While not much I did come across the remains of some snow during a lunchtime walk through Bridgend Woods in November 2024

A November afternoon out on Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay, looking out over Machir Bay and the Atlantic from near the wreck of the Patti. Some heavy dark clouds overhead with some heavy rain on the horizon (luckily it didn’t get to the beach while I was there)
