A view from the dunes at Sanaigmore, looking over the bay and out to the Atlantic north west of Islay. Taken on the same evening as the panorama from the east, when our hope of a nice sunset was thwarted by the clouds in the north.

Another view of the wreck of the Patti on Kilchoman beach in the incoming tide on a sunny June afternoon. Small waves are approaching from the Atlantic, breaking as they reach the beach and wash over the wreck.

Found another good picture (I think) my sister Imke took when I went for some wild swimming and splashing in Machir Bay off Kilchoman beach. That’s me splashing about in the waves breaking as they approach the beach, looking far deeper than it actually was. As there can be dangerous currents I always stayed in shallow water, being able to stand if necessary.
