During the Islay walking week 2013 we climbed Beinn a’Chaolais, at the 733m the third highest of the Paps of Jura, in some wonderful sunshine. This is the approach from the south west, having walked in from the ferry.
At first glance this might not look like on Islay, but this is near Sgarbh Breac on Islay, where the deer are. The Sound of Islay is hiding behind the hill crest, in the background is Beinn a’Chaolais on Jura.
