A fairly well known sign on Islay, found next to the gate at the entrance to Ardtalla. It reads “Chasing Cows Will be our Fate, If you do not Close this Gate”. Of course my sister closed the gate after we had walked through on our way to Proaig a few years ago.
On the return from Beinn Bheigier during an Islay walking week Dave enjoys a view over Gleann Leora.
A visit to the highest point on Islay, the summit of Beinn Bheigier (491m). Unfortunately it was a fairly hazy, but you can still make out the Paps of Jura in the distance towards the right.
