Deer in the floods at Gruinart, Isle of Islay

The floods at the top of Loch Gruinart are mostly populated by birds, but sometimes other animals can be spotted as well, like this deer. It was mostly picking its way through on the higher parts, avoiding the lower areas.

Carefully watching the photographer, a deer standing next to a small tree somewhere at the foot of Fairy Hill at the south coast of Islay. Soon after I took this picture it moved behind the tree.
