Unlike the successful one I watched catching a fish at another time I didn’t see this one being successful: A Little Egret on the hunt in the RSPB Gruinart nature reserve on Islay.

Same as with the previous picture I’m not sure what these two lapwings were doing at Islay’s RSPB Gruinart reserve. I assume it was some kind of mating ritual, as I took the picture in April 2024.
