A view from the old radar station at Kilchiaran on the Rhinns of Islay, looking west across the North Channel to Ireland. I’m not sure what exactly we can see on the horizon, but it is somewhere around at least 40 miles away, possibly more, especially the hill/mountain towards the right.

A view from the north-eastern end of the Singing Sands on a mostly cloudy November early afternoon, arriving from Carraig Fhada. If you look closely you can see Ireland on the horizon across the North Channel
