A view from the Islay ferry arriving from Kennacraig, heavy clouds darkening the Paps of Jura while the shore along the Sound of Islay is bathed in bright sunlight.
A nice view from a walk to An Cladach on the shore of the Sound of Islay a few years ago. We walked from Storakaig through Glen Logan, approaching the Sound we had some great views over to Jura and the mainland.
During the Islay walking week 2013 we climbed Beinn a’Chaolais, at the 733m the third highest of the Paps of Jura, in some wonderful sunshine. This is the approach from the south west, having walked in from the ferry.
