After a nice rest and lunch at the summit of Beinn a’ Chaolais it was time to descend and return to Islay from the first visit to the summit of one of the Paps of Jura during an Islay walking week.

A memory from the first visit of the Islay walking week to the summit of one of the Paps of the Jura, Beinn a’ Chaolais (733m). The other two Paps in the background, Beinn an Oir (785m) on the left, Beinn Shiantaidh (757m) on the right.

During a visit in summer 2013 my sister and I went for a walk around the north coast of Islay, among other places seeing Rhuvaal lighthouse. We also walked through the arch below the lighthouse.
