A November morning on the west coast of Islay, arriving on Kilchoman beach after walking over the dune path. Walking out on the beach and rounding the dunes the view opens up to the south, over to the crags with the old radar station at Kilchiaran.

A view from the old radar station at Kilchiaran on the Rhinns of Islay, looking west across the North Channel to Ireland. I’m not sure what exactly we can see on the horizon, but it is somewhere around at least 40 miles away, possibly more, especially the hill/mountain towards the right.

Another view of the lone walker on Kilchoman beach, seen from the old radar station at Kilchiaran. This time the walker and her two dogs are closer to the southern end, near the rocky outcrop of Carraig Chomain.
