Killinallan dunes at high tide, Isle of Islay

During low tide you can easily walk around Killinallan Point in the north of Islay, during high tide the water at times (also depending on how the sand has shifted) might come up all the way to the dunes.

The walk to Killinallan Point and if desired on to Gortantaoid along the beach is a great coastal walk on Islay. This picture is from a walking week a few years ago, we had just left from Killinallan Gate and were on our way down to the beach to walk to Killinallan Point. From there we continued to Gortantaoid.
