The sun is breaking through over the Oa in the south of Islay after earlier rain, displaying the dramatic cliffs in beautiful light and colour. In the distance the Mull of Kintyre on the mainland.
Guiding ships to the safety of Port Ellen harbour are the lighthouse at Carraig Fhada and the green Port Ellen buoy. A sailing yacht under motor is approaching to pass between the two. The hills of Kintyre on the mainland in the distance
