
The sands on Kilchoman beach are shifting all the time, sometimes more, sometimes less. Between April and June 2019 they shifted quite a lot, among other things opening up this “inlet” towards the southern half of the beach.

While the weather on Islay in June is often among the sunniest of the year, there will be rainy periods. Here a rain shower was passing through during my daily walk on Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay.
